1.How is the generator set classified?

Main classification and export characteristics of generator setsAccording to the classification of fuel, power and customs data, generating sets can be divided into gasoline generating sets, small generating sets P≤75KVA (kva), medium generating sets 75KVA < P≤375KVA, large generating sets 375KVA < P≤2MVA (mva), and very large generating sets P > 2MVA.

Due to the high price of large generating sets, although the export amount of large generating sets is higher than that of medium generating sets, the export amount of large generating sets is still far behind that of medium generating sets

2.Chongqing, Fujian and Jiangsu are the main industrial clusters of China’s generator set industryRecent years, China’s Chongqing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian have been leading the export of gasoline generating sets, among which Chongqing and Jiangsu account for about 70% of China’s export value every year. Fujian, Jiangsu, Tianjin and Guangdong account for a large proportion of the exports of small, medium and large diesel generating sets, among which Fujian and Jiangsu account for about 50% of China’s total exports every year.

3. In recent years, the export volume of China’s generating sets is stable on the wholeFrom 2015 to 2016, China’s export of generating sets showed a downward

 trend. In 2015, the export value of generating sets in China was $3.403 billion, down 12.90% year-on-year, and in 2016, the export value was $2.673 billion, down 21.50% year-on-year. During 2017-2018, the export gradually recovered, and in 2018, the growth rate reached 19.10%, with the export value of $3.390 billion. Exports fell in 2019, down 9.50% from the previous year
